Getting a Library Card
Any adult living within the Lemont Public Library District, or owning property in the District, may obtain a library card by completing an application form and furnishing a photo ID and proof of current residency, i.e. current driver’s license, utility bill.
Residents, seventeen and younger, must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who must have a library card and sign the application.
Library cards must be verified for current address every three years. Address may be verified with a photo ID in person at any Pinnacle library.
If you are not a resident of the Lemont Public Library District, please check the Borrowers section of our Circulation Policy rev. 9-2018 to determine whether or not you are eligible to purchase a card, or otherwise borrow materials from the library. The current cost to purchase a non-resident Lemont Public Library card is $202.00 (until June 30, 2019), and it is valid for one year. Only Illinois residents who are not do not pay taxes to any other library, and for whom Lemont is the closest library, are eligible to purchase a non-resident library card.

You can also register for a temporary library card which will allow you to request materials prior to visiting the library to obtain your card.
